Recipe: Bacon and Cheese Bites

I have been a terrible blogger the past couple of days! I promised y'all I would post this recipe over the weekend and I'm just now getting around to it! But better late than never! Before I tell you the recipe, I need to go ahead and let you know two things:
1. This is NOT healthy! Clearly from the ingredients, you can tell this is for cheat day!
2. If you make these you will be invited to everyones everything! Every event, party, game, you name it. My mom and I have made these since I was a little girl and no matter where we go, we are always asked to bring them! If we show up without them, we are basically not welcome! So with football games, Halloween, and all of the holiday parties coming up, I can PROMISE you, that you will be the star of the party with these delicious little bites!

So for ingredients you will need:
1 package of cream cheese
1 package of shredded cheddar cheese
1 jar/bag of REAL bacon bits(Don't get the fake kind)
1 can of Pillsbury grande juniors LAYER biscuits

*Most important part is the layers. Regular biscuits will not work*
*I would get the can that is bigger than this one shown above. I was only making a few so this worked, but for an event, I would buy the can with 8*

Allow cream cheese to soften to room temperature. I just sit it on the stove while its warming up and it softens very fast this way. Then mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and bacon together until combined (like below).

You will need a mini muffin pan to make them bite size, otherwise you would be having cupcakes! Pull the biscuits apart, I usually can get 2 or 3 layers out of each biscuit. Place the layers in each of the mini muffin holes and press down (gently) to create a "well" for the mixture to sit in.

Put a spoonful of mixture into each one and bake at the temperate it says on the biscuit can (I think 350). Bake for 10-12 mins and enjoy! They will coming out oozing of creamy cheese and bacon and will literally melt in your mouth! I dare you to try and eat only 1! Enjoy!!

Girl Gang

Boyfriend Jeans: Old Navy, Graphic Tee: BooHoo
Sweater: Altard State, Mules: TJ Maxx,
Bag: Target, Sunnies: Forever 21, Earrings: KK Bloom

Happy Friday!!! I took a poll last night on Instagram to see what post y'all wanted to see more. Outfit or recipe?! It was almost tied, with the outfit just barley winning! I am thinking I will do an extra post  over the weekend and share with y'all my favorite party recipe, so that you can make it for Sunday Football! This has been such a crazy week for us, just with so much to do and so many huge decisions we are making right now. Sometimes though, I look back on busy weeks and feel accomplished! I finally got a lot done in our house this week and have thought of so many cute decorating ideas! I can't believe Halloween is just a little over a week away! Where has the time gone this year?! But I will say, only 7 more days until Hallmark Christmas movies start and I'm counting down the days (if you couldn't already tell)!

Now about this outfit! I am loving graphic tee's lately and when I saw this one, I had to get it for my own girl gang! Not that I'm T. Swift or anything, but I just feel super fortunate to have such great girl friends that inspire me and push me to work harder! If you watched my Target Haul, I was telling you that pops of red are huge this fall and definitely on trend! So I thought it would be cute to pair this with a red lip and red bag! Speaking of, you need this cute little bag in your life!! I got it at Target for less than $25!! My top is from boohoo and if you have never shopped their website before, you're missing out! They always have crazy sales and their clothes are great quality for super cheap! At least everything I have ordered, I've been impressed with! This top is so soft and surprisingly great material for it to only cost $6!!!!

Stay tuned for the recipe! I'll try and post it tomorrow morning!!
Hope you have a great weekend!! Get outside and enjoy this weather!!

3 Fall Outfits

To say I LOVE this peplum shirt, is an understatement! It's so soft, cozy, and can be dressed up or down! I thought this color was so beautiful for fall, but it also comes in black! If you have not checked out Murph Boutique, you must!! They have the most adorable pieces!! I don't know about you, but I live in a top knot! They are just so easy and allows me to not have to wash my hair, which is always the goal if you ask me!

This top was such a good T.J. Maxx find!! I just happen to walk by it, and the ruffle bell sleeve caught my eye!! This top was less than $20 and has easily become one of my favorites!! I think it's safe to say that mustard yellow is a staple for my fall wardrobe!! These shoes I got last year at Nordstrom, they are Steve Madden and I'm pretty sure they still have them!!

Last but definitely not least is this adorable bell sleeve sweater! It is one of my favorite purchases from the Nsale this year!! I wish I would have taken a picture of the back detail. It ties up on the top half with chunky laces!! Sooooo cute! And these shoes are about as banging as they come!! I found them for a steal at Dillards earlier this year!!

I hope you are having a good week! I have so many ideas that I want to bring to the blog and maybe even new businesses that I want to start! I can't wait to share them with you and get your opinions!! Brian and I are having a ton of work done on our house this week due to the TERRIBLE job that Ryan homes did. I NEVER recommend them to anyone. But I'm not letting it get me down, because this cold weather is making me the HAPPIEST girl in the world!! Okay, I'm going to play in the leafs now! Love you!!

Fall Home Decor

I found these pumpkins at Hobby Lobby last year when they mark Fall decor down, like 80%!! I'm pretty sure I paid less than $10 for each of them! I have been trying to decide how to decorate this little table that's in our entry way! When I found this runner rug, it gave me the inspiration for this area to be black and gold with accents of wood! I want to hang the "His Law is Love" sign and decorate that area of the wall with pictures and small wall accents (A day at a time)! But back to the pumpkins, they go perfect with my theme and give this little table exactly what it was missing!!

B said I shouldn't post these pics of the bar cart, because y'all would think we drink the cheap stuff! I told him, I never claimed to be fancy! And if we are really being honest, its just there for looks because everyone knows this girl really just cares about the wine! But just to spice this little cart up, I added this fall garland to make it more festive!

I could write and entire post about this piece of furniture. Brian "surprised" me one day when I came home from work and he had went to an estate sale with my mom. He apparently fell in love with this big buffet/credenza/I really don't even know what it is. This piece of furniture is/has/will be the death of me. I want to like it, and maybe if I painted it, I would, but I hate it. I did change the 4 knobs from the ugly hardware to these cute gold ones and that helped a little. Really, the only reason I hate it, is because I can't for the life of me figure out how to decorate it. If any of you reading this, is great at interior decorating, holla at ya girl!

Those are the baby pumpkins I talked about in my Target Haul from the dollar section!! Aren't they just so cute?! I got this leaf and wood coasters both from Home Goods a couple of months ago. I leave them both out, all year long, but come to think of it, they kind of look more fall!

This pumpkin spice sign came from T.J. Maxx. I got it only a couple of weeks ago and it was only $6! What's funny,  is if you watched my Fall Favorites video, you know that I'm a fraud and don't even like pumpkin spice! But the sign is adorable and people probably assume I love it, so I'm just going to keep letting them assume! And what kind of fall decor post would this be if I didn't mention my favorite Bath and Body Works fall candle?!! Marshmallow Fireside is my favorite! In fact, I'm going to have to get another one, because I've already burned more than half of this one!!

If you want to see more home decor post, let me know!

5 Truths You Really Should Know About Me

1. I'm messy. Not dirty, but messy. There is a difference, despite the common misconception. Just ask B, he had to get use to my "piles" when we got married. For example: When I wash a load of laundry, I just leave all the clothes in a pile and wear them until it's time to wash them again, instead of actually folding them and putting them away. Maybe like 3 times a year, when my pile gets too big, I'll actually fold them. And you ask, but what about your clothes getting wrinkled? Well, you see, thats the what the dryer is for. It's called the "Fluff" cycle.

2. This may contradict everything I said in #1 but, I hang everything up! Since I hate folding clothes so much, I just hang everything. My closet is crammed full and my drawers are empty. I have been trying to get better about not waiting so long for my piles to accumulate and just go ahead and at least hang the stuff I really don't want to get wrinkled, right when it comes out of the dryer. That's a lie, not right when it comes out, more like 12 hours later, when I actually remember that I washed clothes.

3. As of this year, I drink a ginger ale every single day. Never in my entire life did I care for ginger ale, except the few times my mom gave it to me while I was sick. But a friend of mine that I used to work with, swears that ginger ale is the cure for all things. You have a ear ache, you drink ginger ale, you broke a nail, you drink ginger ale, and so forth. So one day I didn't feel good, maybe I had a headache, she got me a ginger ale and next thing you know, I can't live without it! I don't even drink soda very often, I'm more of a sweet tea/coffee connoisseur but now and forever, I'm a ginger lover!

4. I hate to wear lipstick! I feel like I just sent shock waves around the world. But yes, it's my deepest, darkest secret. Maybe hate is a strong word. I know as a beauty guru, I'm supposed to love it, breathe it, die with it on, but I really would be just fine if I never had to wear it again. You see, I like the way it looks, I think lipsticks are beautiful, and definitely a necessity in lots of ways (Pictures, weddings, events/parties). But B, hates when I kiss him with lipstick on, and I don't really like it either. And let me tell you, I REALLY love kissing B, so therefore I would just rather not wear it so I can kiss him anytime I want! Also, some people just let you walk around with lipstick on your teeth, without telling you, and that's just not cute!

5. I daydream about being that super healthy girl that takes pictures of everything she eats, and poses in her adorable workout gear (that she actually uses to workout, not to just "look" like she does), and tell everyone why eating clean will save their life, but that's just not me. Maybe one day something will click in my brain and I can become that girl that I always day dream about, but for now I just really love Chick-Fil-A and eating potatoes 3 times a day. From the girl that didn't eat a salad or any vegetable until she was 20, I actually love brussel sprouts, broccoli, and cauliflower nowadays, so at least that is some progress, right?

I Olive You

Dress: Old Navy, Duster: Old Navy,
Shoes: Steve Madden, Hat: Old Navy,
Jewelry: Kendra Scott, Lipstick: MAC Velvet Teddy

Did you ever play that game in middle school, where you mouth the words " I Olive You" to your friends because it looks like your saying, "I love you!" No, that was probably just me, but either way, I seriously love olive green and especially this dress! I love the fact that it buttons all the way down the front, and the fact that it has pockets, because I mean, who doesn't love pockets?! I've also worn this dress with a little belt cinched around the waist, paired with a blue jean jacket and flats!

On another note, I officially transferred all of my fall wardrobe to my closet yesterday, so 90 degrees or not, I'm wearing my sweaters! Do y'all ever struggle with figuring out who you are? Like part of me loves the city life, but the other part loves the country/mountain life. Brian and I always talk about selling our house(yes our brand new one) and moving to the mountains and building a tiny house and living just a super simple life. A big part of me LOVES that idea, but then there is just this tiny spot that feels like I would miss too many things. Maybe when we retire, we can live tiny. I don't know why I'm telling you all of this! Maybe I'm just day dreaming of cooler weather and crunchy leaves hahaha!

Don't Forget to check out my latest Youtube video! It's all of my Fall Favorites!!

Transitioning into Fall

Dress: Old Navy, Boots: Gianni Bini(Dillards)
Vest: The Cheeky Bean, Bag: Sole Society,
Glasses: Quay, Earrings: Kendra Scott

Hi Friends!! I am officially back to blogging and I couldn't be happier! If you have followed along with me on social media, then you know I've had some big changes in my life lately! Our house is coming along and I will be sure to update you on all things home decor! I have a new job, and I'm loving getting to spend more time with Brian and work on my blog! I want to know what y'all want to see on here! I'm thinking about doing a recipe series, my favorite books to read, marriage advice, and of course home decor! Let me know your thoughts!!

Now on to the outfit! I have a love/hate relationship with this time of year. I'm so happy the weather is changing but isn't it hard to dress? In the morning and night you're freezing and then in the middle of the day you are sweating your socks off!! That's why I always suggest dressing in layers this time of year! I love breaking our my vest and light weight jackets, along with my fall boots! I got this dress last fall and wore it so much! They have the same one this year at Old Navy! I also just ordered it in black! You can just create so many outfits from it! Below are a few other outfits I have worn recently, where I have layered a summer top or romper with my fall sweaters and vest!

Also, if you want a good laugh, check out our latest Vlog!

Love you!!

Life Update

Where do I start? This is not my normal fashion post, but I'm not sure what the normal is for my blog anymore! Since I have been MIA from most of social media and my blog for that matter, I thought I would share with you what has been happening in life lately.

To say that this year has been a bumpy ride, is an understatement. It's funny to think about all of the plans YOU think you have for your life and the new year, and what GOD'S plans are. In January, I just knew that this was the year I would be able to put my all into my blog and youtube channel and see it grow and watch my dreams come true! I had all of these plans for it, I made lists of ideas, I had a calendar with planned posts and videos I wanted to record. For a while, it was looking good! Growth, lots of posts, and squeezing in videos when I could!

In March Brian's grammy got sick and ended up passing away. She was such a firecracker and angel all in one body! In the middle of all of that, we decided it was a sellers market for real estate and we could potentially make a good amount of money off of our house, so we listed it. Most of you already know what happened next, but long story short, we had a family "buy" our house. They were the first and only people to look at it. They gave us full asking price, it sold in less than 48 hours. Thankfully we had already started looking for other houses and decided to build again, which had already been started. However our new house wasn't going to be finished until August. So we packed up our house, put it in storage and moved in with my in-laws. Two days before closing, we got a phone call that the family buying our house didn't fill out the proper paper work for their loan and closing would be pushed off a couple extra days. No big deal! Two weeks went by, and they ended up never being able to get approved. So now we have an empty house, that we are still paying a mortgage for, while living in a bedroom of my in-laws house. So we Re-list the house.

Now, while all of that is happening, my grandfather is getting more and more sick. He goes into hospice and ends up going to Heaven 2 weeks ago. He missed my grandmother so much and couldn't wait to get to heaven and see her. My grandparents lived on about 20 acres of land in Kings Mountain, with a horse and lots of up-keep. Instead of their house sitting empty, my family offered for Brian and I to live there while our house is being built. Such a blessing! So we packed up our things, again, and moved them to the farm.

This brings me to today. Life on the farm is incredibly humbling. I walk outside every morning and feed the horse, I walk down to the lake and read a book. I can hear every little one of Gods creatures in the woods, scurrying about their day. There is no city noise, no cars, and guess what else there is NONE of? Wi-fi!! Zero, like it is non-existent. How in the world do I have a blog and record videos without any wi-fi?! As I write this, I'm sitting at the only little coffee shop in "down-town" which consist of one street with one restaurant, an antique shop, and this little coffee shop.

Next week, I fly to Vegas for work and the week after that, Brian and I will be at the beach. Our house has still not sold and if it doesn't sell in the next couple of weeks, we are afraid we may not get our new house that is half way built. At this point it is all in Gods hands. I can not think about it or stress about it, because clearly none of my plans really matter. I'm not writing this to say I quit blogging because that is the furthest thing from the truth. I love my blog, it has been my favorite hobby and one that I refuse to give up. It may just look a little different for the next couple of months. If you made it to the end of this, bless you. I'm sorry its so long, but I had a lot to catch you up on!

Bloggers Who Brunch

 Dress:Shein c/o, Boots: Aldo,
Lips: MUFE Liquid lip 203

I hope you had a great weekend! Mine was pretty laid back. Thats what happens when you become an adult! Brian and I did some furniture "browsing" on Sunday and then went to see Beauty and The Beast! Seriously the most exciting weekend I've had in a while! If you have not already seen B&TB, you HAVE to! I wanted to sing and cry and laugh and dance! Such a great re-make!

So I wanted to share my Style Collective Bloggers Brunch with you! I had so much fun meeting other bloggers/girl bosses that live locally to me! They were so sweet and so smart! I loved getting to sit at a table with women who are like-minded, driven, and have the same questions and struggles that I do! We had the most most amazing brunch at Iliios Noche, and if you have never been there, the food is AMAZING and their staff were incredible! Not to mention the coolest bar and patio area! I can't wait to go back when it warms up even more!

I wore this adorable dress that Shein sent me! I love how affordable their clothes are and on top of that, they are always having a sale! The print on this dress is what really caught my eye! Its so beautiful and I love the keyhole detail near the neckline! I can't wait to pair this dress with my gladiator sandals and a top knot, for date nights in the summer time!
