Hello Beautiful!! I hope y'all are having a great week so far! I have the next 3 days off, so I'm trying to be productive and get a ton of things done this week! Y'all, this has nothing to do with today's blog post, but I just have to vent. Doesn't it stink being an adult sometimes? Having to make decisions based on being responsible, rather than doing what you want. We only have this short time here on Earth so why waist it not doing what you love?! I could go on and on but I will stop. So anywho, today's post is about my favorite blue pants! I actually never wear the color blue. It's not a color I ever pick out on anything to be honest. But lately I am loving it! Every time I wear these pants, someone stops me and asks where I got them! They make such a subtle statement. And the ruffles on this top are my absolute favorite. They make me feel glamorous!
So today I wanted to share with y'all one of my favorite dresses!! There are so many things I love about it, but mostly the vibrant colors! They are so beautiful and really make this dress pop! I also love how comfy it is, the fact that it has pockets, and the button detailing all the way down the front! Lord knows I am well endowed up top, and normally I wouldn't be able to wear a strapless anything, comfortably. But this one is lined with a little bit of a rubber material all along the top to really hold it in place! I wish every strapless dress was like that! Anywho, I am really trying to finish all the rooms in our house. They all look decent but still need a couple of things. So before I start posting them, I want to make sure that I complete each one first!
Hello my little rays of sunshine!! Sounds fitting considering I just got back from basking in the sunshine for the past week! Brian and I went to his parents beach condo with another couple that we love so much! We had a great time just relaxing and enjoying each others company! I wanted to share with y'all some of our pictures from this weekend along with this amazing dress my mother-in-law got a while back, and let me borrow! Sound crazy? Nope, she lets me borrow her clothes all the time! I'm not afraid to admit, she has great style! We are going back to their condo to stay for a week in August for our anniversary! I must say, I can get used to this beach life!
This picture is so awkward but its the only full body shot I got. And these pics turned out so dark, that I had to enhance the crap out of them just so they would show up to true color!
Of course, Kelly and I HAVE to have our Starbs every day!
Today's post is a short one, but I couldn't not share with y'all my favorite new hair product! I got the new Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser's primer right when it came out a couple of weeks ago. I have been using it every day since, and it has made the biggest difference in my hair! I just spray it all over when my hair is still damp after I shower, comb it through, and then blow dry. My hair is so much softer, feels healthier, and not to mention it smells amazing! Everyone should have this, especially right now for the summer. This primer is a Heat and UV protector. Perfect to spray in your hair before a day at the pool or beach! I can't say enough good things about it!!
Hello lovlies!! I wanted to share with y'all today, my favorite LBD! I got this dress last summer at Target (where else. Actually does anywhere else exist?) and I have basically lived in it ever since. I love the collar which makes it look more structured, the draw string helps extenuate my waist, and I can easily wear this dressed up or down! Even through the winter, I wear this with stockings, a cardigan, and boots, and Bam! Looking fine since 89' has arrived. I think I just literally laughed out loud because I have no idea where that came from. I feel like that might be something NeNe would say on the Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Anywho, who doesn't love a dress with pockets and how easy is it to throw this on for a date night! Brian, Hint, Hint. I could really go for that Parmesan crusted chicken, baked potato, and side salad at Longhorn. Okayyyyy. Oh my gosh, what kind of mood am I in? I feel like y'all are going to think I'm drinking wine at 9 in the morning!
Okay y'all this one might be kinda long so bare with me! I hope you had a great July 4th! Brian and I really just spent the day getting a ton of house stuff done! Our dining room is almost completely finished (it looks so cute!!) and we have made major progress in the living room! Thank you all for your ideas and suggestions form my last post!
So I'm sure you all know that Bare Minerals recently came out with a liquid foundation called, BareSkin. I have been wanting to do this post for a while, but I'm just now getting around to it. I am very fortunate that I get a lot of new products for free, working at Sephora, and it gives me the opportunity to try these new products on clients. When this foundation first came out, I really liked it! Everyone that I applied it to, it looked great. BareSkin has great coverage but feels super lightweight. It slightly mattifies and you don't need very much product. If you get the brush with it, which I recommend, you only need 3 small drops in the cave of the brush and it will cover your entire face! With this said, I tried it on myself and I wasn't that thrilled. I had another couple of clients that tried it, and didn't really like the way it looked on their skin. So here is the deal. If you have combination, oily, or normal skin type, this foundation is amazing!!! You will love it!! If you are slightly dry, which is my case, this wouldn't be my first recommendation for you.
Now on to my product review!! I have been working with Kayla from Lily & Wes on a couple of exciting things lately! She is one of the sweetest girls and I just feel so blessed to now have her in my life! Kayla owns her own business creating custom invitations, prints, and return address labels! Y'all she is so talented and truly a jack of all trades!
She started her business just creating these custom invites for her and her friends, opened an Etsy shop, and was able to quit her full-time job to pursue what really makes her happy! Her Etsy took off and now she is living her dream! Kayla created these adorable return address labels for Suubi Darlings so that we can put them on our packages when someone orders something! These labels were shipped to us in the cutest packaging with a very sweet card inside. The labels are perfect and I'm so proud to be able to share her creativity every time we send jewelry to someone!
Tomorrow, Tomorrow, TOMORROW!!!! 3 day weekend, Hallelujah!!! Brian and I are going to sleep in, make breakfast, and get some things done around the house before we do any of that other 4th of July fun stuff! I have been trying to start decorating but I have to face the fact that I'm just not as creative as I wish I was. I can pick out really cute things, but it's putting it all together that I have trouble with. So I am sincerely asking for y'all's help. Tell me your ideas, opinion, and tips to make these two spots look better! I'm almost embarrassed to show you this, because it just looks so bare but here we go:
So this is in our living room. Originally we wanted to put the couch on that wall, but our couch is so long, it wouldn't line up with the picture directly in the center so it just looked weird. This wall is so big however, that this single picture just doesn't cut it. I need something else on this wall. What do I use?
Okay, so Brian got this piece of furniture (I don't know what to call it) at an estate sell for a great price! I wasn't sure how or where I wanted to use it at first but I do like it in the eating area of the kitchen. Now I'm just not sure how to decorate it. We want to paint the back panels of it and change all the hardware. I think I will use it as a bar/buffet type of thing. So, is it proper to show your glassware? What else do I need to make this look better? What do I put in the 4 little cubbies up top?
I got the best news yesterday when I got to work! My manger told me I could have the 4th off!! I spent the entire day making plans for the 4th and thinking about what I wanted to wear! Every girl needs 2 outfits for that day! One to wear to the lake and one to wear to a cookout! Your daytime look should be comfortable and easy! Don't forget your tote bag with all of your lake day essentials and some inexpensive flip flops in case they get wet! And for night time, I like to be casual but still cute! You can't go wrong with shorts and a flowy top! These are my inspiration outfits for the 4th!!
