Happy Humpday! We are almost to the weekend! I have been working on something very exciting that is going to be a new chapter in my life, and I can't wait to share it with y'all, but I still have so much to do! I'm so busy with everything going on in my life right now that I really need my wardrobe to be simplified! So when I stumbled upon this $20 shift dress in Target yesterday, it was love at first sight! First of all you can't beat the price, I need this dress in every color! But a shift dress is so versatile! I love that you can really dress it up or down, and it's such a easy outfit when you need something cute, but don't have time to think about it! Pair it with sandals and a cross-body bag or heels and a clutch, truly you can't go wrong! I choose heels and a clutch for this outfit, but I want to do another post showing it dressed down, for just a casual date night look!
Don't y'all just love Sundays?! Getting to go be in God's word, spending the day being lazy with Family, or playing outside, just doing what you love, and getting to dress up and pick out a really cute outfit for church!! Sunday is for sure one of my favorite day's of the week! I have to wear that ugly ole black and red dress everyday for work, so when I get to actually wear my clothes, and pick out an entire outfit, I get really excited!!!
This past Sunday, I decided to break out one of my favorite neon, summer dresses and pair it with a pink and coral sweater and lots of accessories! This dress is super light weight and I love the slight high/low hem line. I got Brian to snap a few pictures after church so I could share it with y'all! Now don't pay any attention to my white girl legs! I soon realized after looking at these pictures, that I'm in desperate need of a tan! And I don't know if when you get older, your hair decides to change, but I am a side part kind of girl, and when I say side part, I mean like Donald Trump. Lately No matter how I blow dry my hair, it just wants to part down the center. Y'all I have not rocked a center part since I was in 5th grade and I'm not really sure that I can still pull it off!
I know y'all probably think I have been MIA lately! I just have had so much going on this week, that I haven't had time to blog! Between my Birthday, house stuff, and working, I can't seem to keep up! Speaking of our house, we now have siding and drywall! It's starting to finally feel real! And on top of that, I found some amazing furniture this week for such a good deal!! God is good!!
But this blog post is all about the beauty bag swap that I participated in with a couple of other bloggers! We were each paired up and had to send our partner a beauty bag with what it takes to make the perfect lip! I was paired with the beautiful, and oh so sweet, Brittany from Fabulously Faint! I told her that I love a bright bold lip and this is what she sent me!
The cutest little arrow make-up bag! Perfect for lip products and long enough for lip liners! I'm totally in love with it! A super adorable compact mirror for my purse! Y'all I needed one so bad! And the most amazing shade of radiant orchid MAC lipstick!!
Look at how pretty this color is!!
Thank you so much Brittany!! I love all of my goodies!!
Can y'all believe it's already Thursday?! I feel like each week just goes by so fast! My Birthday is next Tuesday, so I will be celebrating all weekend! All the girls I work with want to take me salsa dancing in Charlotte, but I keep trying to tell them, unless they play the boot skootin boogy and let me wear my cowgirl boots, they might be embarrassed! Naturally I have pretty good rhythm but for some reason I can't quite figure out the salsa! Ill keep y'all updated on how that works out hahaha!
So for today's post, I wanted to share with y'all two of my favorite products from Bumble and Bumble! I am a firm believer that the bigger the hair, the closer to God! And that you shouldn't have or want to wash your hair everyday! That's why I can't live without these two products!
The B&B Dryspun finish, is everything you need for big, full, voluminousness hair! After your hair is dry, just spray it on your roots and you will instantly see a difference! I love using this when I curl my hair too! The more body the better! And the Bb Pret-a-powder is perfect for taking away any of the oiliness in your hair. I can usually go at least every other day without washing my hair, but when I use this on the second day, I can go even longer! As long as you really blend it and shake out any excess, you won't see the powder at all!
So when I wake up feeling like this:
I just use these two Bumble and Bumble products and I instantly feel like this:
Well y'all, I can finally breath after 6 days of feeling like I had plugs in my nose! Thank goodness for nasal spray and Zyrtec! I have had to take all my outfit pictures lately with my sunglasses on, because y'all would think I was on something if you saw how puffy my eyes were! But hopefully I am in the clear now! I have been waiting for the perfect spring day, to break out this shirt! I got it a few months ago at Fiore Boutique and literally it was love at first sight! All of my favorite colors, plus a light weight silky material, I knew it had to be mine! Y'all will probably see me wear it again and again, I apologize in advance! If you haven't been to Fiore yet, they have a location at Northlake Mall if you are local, and a couple other stores in the south! Super cute, affordable boutique! Just a little side note: Last night, I got one of the best phone calls ever!! My best friend is FINALLY engaged and we have a wedding to start planning!! I'm so happy for y'all, Sara and Joey!!
Shirt: Fiore Boutique, Pants: Calvin Klein,
Shoes: Aldo (Old), Clutch: TJ Maxx (Old),
Watch: Michael Kors, Bracelets: Francescas, Old Navy
Hallelujah we made it to Friday! Y'all I think I'm going to have to wear a mask all spring just to be outside. I am literally dying of allergies right now. Probably because I spent the day at the lake yesterday, but it was completely worth it! I got some sun, got to spend time with one of my favorite girls, and got to wear this beautiful dress! I am all about maxi dresses this year. You can't beat how comfortable they are, and yet you look so dressed up in them! I love the slits on this dress. If it wasn't already comfortable, these slits just took it to the top! Plus its hard to see in these pics, but the waist is braided and there are little gaps between the fabric that show just a sliver of skin! Sexy, Sexy! But I hope y'all have a great weekend! It's going to be beautiful! Brian and I plan on doing lots of house things, and taking a break on Sunday to have brunch in Charlotte!
Y'all I am so happy to be off work and going to the lake today! You have no idea how much I needed a day off! Although, my allergies are killing me and its hard to sleep when your throat is completely closed up and so is your nose! All of my other allergy sufferers out there know what I'm talking about! But even if I have a crusty nose, I have some super soft lips because I have been using these products lately! I wanted to share with y'all some of my favorite lip products for soft, exfoliated, beautiful lips!
1. Sugar lip polish is an all natural, amazing lip exfoliate, to take away any dead skin and get your lips back to health!
2. Bite Agave lip mask is my JAM!!! Y'all its the best thing you will ever use in your entire life!! If you don't go buy one right now, you will miss out on the greatest joy of your entire being! Okay, not really, but its seriously that good. I put mine on before bed at night and wake up with the most incredible soft lips in the world!
3. I love this MUFE transparent lip liner! You can use it with any lip stick color because its completely sheer, so instead of having 20 different lip liners, you just have one! Sephora brand has one too that's exactly the same thing but less expensive!
4. This Bite lipstick in "Rose" is one of my favorite lipsticks right now! Because it's made by Bite, its so nourishing for your lips and not to mention, it's the perfect pink nude I have ever worn!
5. Y'all I LOVE this Laura Mercier lip stick in "Palm Beach." It's the most beautiful Coral!
I hope y'all had a great weekend! Brian and I had so much fun hanging out with our friends! We basically sat outside every chance we could get! Our house is coming along so fast! I can't believe in less than 7 weeks, it will be all ours! Built and ready to move into! I'm thinking we need to start really buckling down and figuring out how we want to decorate, what colors we want to use, paint, and all the details that go into turning a house into a home. Right now, this is what my inspiration consist of! Bright colors, bold prints, and fun accessories!
Happy Friday y'all! I'm so ready for a Friday night in, just Brian and I, and of course Daisy. Some wine and a couple of Red Box movies! Those are my favorite kind of nights! Yesterday, I finally had a day off, and did a little retail therapy! Of course I hit up Target, that's a given, and I also stopped by Old Navy. They have some great deals going on right now! I got this dress for $12 and they have them in many different colors and prints! I just love this color pink, especially once I'm tan and all bronzed up. Not the Casper legs I have going on right now! But it's light weight and so comfy! You really need to go snag on of these before they are gone! They also have shorts for $15 in lots of different colors! I hope y'all have a great weekend!!
These are the top trends for this spring! Every girl needs a pair of boyfriend jeans and either a top or dress that's floral print! They say white is the new black so add a white bag or pair of heels to your closet! It's all about rings right now! One for every finger and then some! I'm kind of digging it. And everyone looks good in a fedora so rock one this spring!
