Holiday Gift Guide: Stocking Stuffers

Holiday Gift Guide: Stocking Stuffers

Can you believe Christmas is next week? I feel like this year, it's just flying by! I still have so many gifts to get and wrap! If you are like me and have waited till the last minute, these are some great ideas for stocking stuffers or even for your girlfriends!

You can never go wrong with Starbucks and Target gift cards! The more the merrier! And I am all about the Alex and Ani bracelets for just about anyone on your gift list! Each one is so unique and has such a special meaning, it's hard to go wrong with this beautiful bracelet!

For your beauty essentials, the Philosophy Fresh Cream lotion (I know I talk about it all the time) is the BEST lotion I have ever smelled! A rollerball of your favorite fragrance, or even a new makeup brush is perfect!

I love getting new scarfs or cozy socks! This time of year they are a necessity and something that we don't always think about buying for ourself. And I love a pair of fabulous gloves! They just make such a statement!! Hope these ideas help! I love reading other people's gift guides to see what they like also! If you have any other great ideas, let me know! Happy Tuesday Beautiful!

Scarf Obsessed

Scarf: Julie's Boutique, Jacket: Kohls,
Dress: Target, Clutch: Old, Sunglasses: Forever 21

Oh Monday you are back again! At least I can say that I am feeling so much better today! I hope y'all had a great weekend! Brian and I went to a beautiful engagement party Saturday night and pretty much laid on the couch, slept, and watched football yesterday. We needed a day to just rest!

If you follow me on Instagram, I'm sure you have seen this scarf a time or two! It is my favorite accessory, my favorite scarf, and my favorite thing to wear this time of year! It's huge like a blanket scarf, I love the pattern, and it makes the simplest outfits look so much cuter! And I have to tell you about these sunglasses! First of all, Brian will never buy me nice sunglasses because he says I loose them all the time, and they just get thrown in my purse so Target and Forever 21 is what I have to resort to as far as my sunnies go! A couple of weeks ago, I was cleaning out some boxes from when we moved (yes we still have unopened boxes) and I found these beauties!! I had bought them when we lived in Florida and completely forgotten about them! I guess Brian is right, sometimes.

My Contour Routine

My Contour Routine

Happy Friday y'all!! I hope you are having a wonderful Holiday season, decorating, eating lots of yummy food, and spending time with your loved ones! My loved ones won't come within 10 ft. of me! They love me, but for the past going on 8 days now, I have had a fever, body aches, sore throat, lost my voice, pink eye which started in my left eye and has now traveled into my right eye, and any and everything else you can imagine! I need prayers for health and to get back to my normal life! But anywho on to contouring! This is exactly what I use everyday and they are my go-to absolute favorites so I wanted to share them with you! Plus its simple and easy and everyone uses a concealer, blush and bronzer, so you don't have to feel like you need to go out and buy a bunch of crazy products to achieve the result you want!

1. & 2.- I put these together because they are like the milk to your cookies. After I have applied my foundation with my Beauty Blender, I use my Nars radiant creamy concealer and basically draw a large check symbol on both sides under my eye. Going from the inner corner of me eye, down each side of my nose and out to the outer end of my eye. Then with my damp beauty blender I just blend that all out! It gives the best natural highlight under the eye! When you use the BB with the Nars concealer, its like magic! Perfectly blended out!

3. Then I use Too Faced Milk Chocolate soleil bronzer. They also have just the chocolate soleil, but its a little darker and more of what I would use in the summer. These are completely matte and truly the perfect color for a natural contour. I apply the bronzer with Sephora collection #74 contour brush starting from the top of my ear to the middle of my cheek and blend until I get the results I want!

4. Then using which ever blush you like, I go just above where I placed the bronzer, almost overlapping them, and blend from the apple of my check back to the top of my ear. And usually with blush, I don't want it to look like there is a clear line or stopping point, so I will swipe upwards onto my temples just so it will pull my cheekbones higher and look like it naturally fades!

Hope this is helpful! I get asked this question all the time so I wanted to share with y'all! I also linked some of my favorite contour kits and highlighters you could also use!! Let me know if you have any questions about those!

Cozy Comfort

Sweater: Forever 21, Top: Piko Top (Derrs Boutique),
Necklace: Forever 21(Old), Earrings: Aldo Accessories,
Boots: Aldo

I had so much fun doing this shoot! Del Luis Photography is amazing and I'm so excited for all the things we are working on  together! This outfit is one of my go-to's this time of year. I don't know if y'all are like me, but I tend to throw on some leggings and anything over-sized and comfortable, a scarf and boots, and be out the door! It's easy, cozy, and you don't have to put much time into it! When I found this sweater at Forever 21 a couple of weeks ago for $15, I had to have it! First of all, 3/4ths of my wardrobe is black and white, the price you can't beat, and its so comfortable! Speaking of comfort, if you do not own a Piko top, you need to get one! Most boutiques carry them now. I got the two I own at Derr's boutique in Mt. Holly, if your local!  They are amazing!! Anywho, I hope y'all have a great weekend! I want the  Christmas tree lots to start putting out the real trees so we can get ours this weekend! Surprisingly Brian and I don't really have any plans for this weekend. I'm kinda excited to do nothing!

I wanted to share with y'all some of the items on my Christmas wish list! My absolute top favorites are a new pair of leopard loafers! The ones I currently own, have been worn slap out! I would love a pair of Kendra Scott earrings, what girl doesn't?!! And this limited edition bronze glow highlighter from Bobbi Brown, is to die for!! The absolute perfect shade for highlighting!! Floral Blazer

Blazer: Kohls, Top: Forever 21,
Heels: Gianni Bini, Clutch: Old

One of my all time favorite pieces for everyone's wardrobe, and a must-have if you ask me, is a blazer! The structure, the effortless chic, yet cool vibe they give off, is just everything!! I love how they can truly change an entire outfit and how perfectly they look dressed up with heels or down with flats! A blazer really should be a staple piece in your closet!

When I saw this blazer last year at Kohls as one of Lauren Conrads fall collection pieces, I about died right then and there. Okay, maybe a little dramatic, but I really did let a squeal! Not only is the floral pattern adorable, but the colors couldn't be more perfect! I try not to wear it too often so that I never get tired of it! These heels, I got on sale at Dillards not too long ago, and can we just all agree they are perfect!?! I LOVE them! And the best part is that they are comfortable! I can't wait to wear them to all of the weddings I will be attending next fall! I can dance all night in these beauties!

Stila Favorites

Stila Favorites

Stila eyeshadowStila creamy concealerStila cheek bronzerStila face makeupStila lipstickStila lipstickStila eyelinerStila eyeliner

Well y'all we have made it half way through the week! I am so excited for this weekend! My family and Brian and I are going to the mountains to ride bikes and see all of the beautiful leaves changing colors! I totally need this mini vaca so I'm counting down the days!

I wanted to share with you my favorite products from Stila! Just from working at Sephora I am exposed to so many brands and amazing makeup products, but I find myself going to Stila so often lately! They just came out with this new matte eyeshadow pallet that is AMAZING!! I have been trying to get away from so much shimmer in my shadows lately just because I feel like the matte gives so much more of a natural eye and you can actually make it look really sexy!

Their foundation comes with this brush, and in the top of the cap, is your perfect concealer for your shade of foundation! You get all 3 in 1! Best deal and its a great foundation! Eyeliners: You can't and will not find a better liquid eyeliner! If you don't have the stila black liquid eyeliner, you need to get this asap! It will change your life! And if you are not a black eyeliner person or liquid, their lionfish pencil eyeliner is the prettiest brown I have ever seen!!

This primer is perfect for anyone that has any discoloration in their face. I have a lot of redness in my cheeks and the green really helps to balance it out. It's hydrating, not silicone, and has 3 different colors to even out your complexion! This bronzer is gorgeous!! Has a little shimmer but I like to wear in right in my cheekbone and it gives the best natural glow! And last but definitely not least is the Stila Stay All Day lip stains! Oh my gosh, perfection! I haven't tried one color that I didn't love! Obviously everyone loves Beso for the perfect red, but truly all of the colors are perfect!!

Navy Stripes

Happy Monday Y'all!! I hope you had a great weekend! Brian and I were crazy busy all weekend and didn't really get to spend a lot of time together, which stinks, but I would say we were very productive! Saturday, My friend Kelly and I got to set up a booth, at a local Festival for Suubi Darlings! We did really good and get to send the ladies in Uganda money which just makes our hearts so happy!! Saturday night we went out with friends for dinner and got to see their house for the first time! Y'all, oh my gosh, it was beautiful and has totally inspired me to completely change how I want our house to look! Brian is going to kill me, but I'm redecorating!

This dress in one of my favorites for fall! I got it last year, and this is the first time I have worn it this season! The material is a little thicker so it keeps me pretty warm! I love the drawstring, especially on a dress with horizontal stripes, to help give it shape and narrow the waist! This necklace is actually my mother-in-laws, she let me borrow. And y'all will never believe it, but she got it at Walmart for like $10! I about died when she told me!

Coat Trends for the Season

Coat Trends for the Season

It is such a nasty, cold, rainy Monday here. As the weather gets colder, it's time to transition from sweaters to coats! I love how coats can change your look so effortlessly! This season I want to try and reinvent some of my go-to outfits with fun, on trend coats! I picked some of my favorites to put in this collage and they are all pretty affordable and easy to access! The cape from Forever 21 might be my favorite! I'm obsessed with capes and how chic and comfortable they are! I think my closet will be filled with them by the end of Winter! And of course the most on trend coats right now are the Cocoon, oversized coat, the coats with bold, vivid, bright colors, and the Shearling jackets with either real or faux detailing. I loved the faux shearling lined jacket from Mango! The camel color is so hot right now!

I have been in Utah all week with Sephora having the most amazing skin care training! I can't wait to share with y'all some of my new favorite products! If it ever stops raining long enough for me to take some outfit posts, those will be up soon too! Happy Monday Y'all!!!

Hello October

I don't know about y'all but I love everything about October! Visiting a pumpkin patch, hayrides, warm coffee, dressing in layers and not to mention we are almost to November which means, I can start decorating for Christmas!! Not to rush Halloween or Thanksgiving or anything! I always like to pick a go-to outfit this time of year. Something easy, that I know will work without having to think about it. My absolute favorite go-to item this time of year, is a vest. A vest can come in many forms: furry, crochet, puffy, quilted, but something that I can throw over a long sleeve tee or button down shirt, paired with some leggings or skinny jeans and a pair of boots and be out the door! You will more than likely, ok, you absolutely will, see lots of vest here on this little blog of mine in the coming months, so get ready! This is one of those go-to outfits! I love this long vest and if you know me, you know I love leopard, so why not pair the two together?!

Jean Jacket and a Hat

Happy Monday to you! I am so sad this weekend is over. I had one of the best weekends, I have had in a while! Friday night Brian and I went out with all of his co-workers to a raw oyster bar in Charlotte and had a great time! However when we were leaving, I came out of the bathroom, having a total Beyonce moment, wind blowing in my hair, outfit on point, and right then and there, I face planted smack dab in the middle of this bar. Talk about the crickets you could hear from every single person immediately just going silent. And poor Brian, just stood there laughing so hard, he couldn't even ask me if I was okay. But you know what, I got right back up and acted like nothing happened and continued my Beyonce walk right on out of the door.

Anywho, this was the outfit I was wearing that night! I had so many compliments on this dress! I can't wait to style this dress with tights, boots and my black leather jacket once it gets a little cooler! And the best part is that I found this dress in Kohls last week for only $20!

Favorite Fall Booties

Favorite Fall Booties

Kristin Cavallari calf hair shoesSteve Madden taupe bootiesSole Society gray bootiesJustFabulous cutout shoesMossimo short leather boots,Wellington boots

I know y'all think I neglect my blog every couple of months, and I hate to admit that you're right! It's something I'm trying very hard to stop doing! Keeping this little hobby up, takes a lot of time! And when you have 5 different "hobbies" that you are trying to turn into "jobs" it's hard to keep up sometimes! But I am making a diligent promise to really start blogging more often!

I figured if this was my first post in a couple of weeks, it should be about something I love! Well here are two things that I absolutely love! Fall and shoes! To be more specific, ankle boots! There is just something about an ankle boots that is so sexy, chic, and stylish! I don't know a single boot that I ever could turn away from or a time that I put them on and didn't automatically feel more confident! They just take any ordinary outfit from boring to a head turner!! These are some of my favorite ankle boots for fall and they are all relatively inexpensive! In fact 2 pairs are from Target! But can we just take a second and admire these Kristen Cavallari Leopard Mule heels?! Oh my gosh, they are so chic!!

Stay tuned, I promise to be around more often!!

Transitioning into Fall

Transitioning into Fall

FOSSIL knit dressBoohoo shift dressRails shirts blouseTopshop long sleeve shirtSteve Madden sandalsJessica Simpson red pumpsCHARLES KEITH zipper bag

I guess if we are in August, its safe to go ahead and post about fall! I don't know about y'all, but I'm ready! I wanted to share with you some great fall trends for this years, but pieces that will help you transition during those days in between! This Fall, its all about bold colors, shift dresses, and plaid! 3 of my favorite things!!

Just by adding a pop of color to your outfit in a shoe, or bag is the perfect way to wear this trend if you don't feel comfortable walking around in bold color, head to toe. Y'all know I love a shift dress!!! They are just so comfy, you can dress them up or down and it's something that you can just throw on without thinking about an entire outfit. How can you not love this trend?! I'll be wearing them all fall! And plaid is back ladies! The 90's are knocking on our door and I'm not hating it! There are so many ways to wear plaid, and it doesn't have to look grungy. Find a plaid shirt in lighter colors, instead of the red and black that most people think of! Paired with boyfriend jeans and cute ankle boots, oh my gosh, I can't get enough!! Happy Monday!!!!

Confessional Friday

Happy Friday loves!! If your like me, all I want to do on this Friday is stay inside with little Daisy, watch movies/blog/be lazy. I actually love rainy days like today, except when I have to go to work. Which happens to be in 2 hours. But anywho, I am linking up with the super cute, Leslie, over at A Blonde Ambition to do Confessional Friday!

So in the words of Usher, These are my confessions:

1. I confess that I am so ready for Fall!! I hate to rush summer, but especially this week, with the weather being so nice, I'm ready! I can't wait for jeans, boots, scarves, beanies, crisp air, camping, football, and hot coffee! Can I get an Amen!!!

2. I confess that I have a dreamers heart. There are so many things that I want to accomplish or make successful, but I know that it takes patience and a lot of hard work. That whole patience thing is what me and God have a daily struggle with. I'm not good at it, and he is always testing me. I just have big dreams and I refuse to give up or feel like I "have" to do something for the rest of my life, that doesn't truly make me happy! Do what you love!!!

3. I confess that I really want a cute pair of Birkenstocks. Preferably these:

Or these

4. I confess that I'm trying to give up my addiction to Starbucks and just make my own iced coffee, but please let me tell you, it is not the same! I do not like it, and Brian is just going to have to come to terms with the fact that I spend $2.65 at least 4 times a week at Starbucks, and we need to somehow fit that into our budget! Hey, I get free refills as many times a day as I want! That's like cutting the cost in half! What more can he ask for?!

Have a great weekend Y'all!!!

I've got the Blues

Hello Beautiful!! I hope y'all are having a great week so far! I have the next 3 days off, so I'm trying to be productive and get a ton of things done this week! Y'all, this has nothing to do with today's blog post, but I just have to vent. Doesn't it stink being an adult sometimes? Having to make decisions based on being responsible, rather than doing what you want. We only have this short time here on Earth so why waist it not doing what you love?! I could go on and on but I will stop. So anywho, today's post is about my favorite blue pants! I actually never wear the color blue. It's not a color I ever pick out on anything to be honest. But lately I am loving it! Every time I wear these pants, someone stops me and asks where I got them! They make such a subtle statement. And the ruffles on this top are my absolute favorite. They make me feel glamorous!
