I won!!! My Lucky day

Today is my lucky day! I just got the most exciting news!! I won a $250 Visa gift card from Hanes Hosiery!! This is how it happened:

One of my FAVORITE bloggers, "The Sweetest Thing" was chosen through pinterest, along with 5 other bloggers to compete in the  Hanes Pin-ture Perfect Challenge.

Hanes sent these 5 ladies a pair of tights from their spring collection to style with 2 different outfits. Of course I wanted to vote for Emily, being that she is the cutest and most stylish woman I have ever seen! I mean the REAL Lauren Conrad likes her blog for gosh sakes! And I love that she Loves Jesus!

Anywho, Hanes was offering a $250 Visa gift card to 3 lucky voters. So out of thousands of voters, I won! I am seriously pinching myself right now! I can't wait to go shopping!!

Hello New Spring Wardrobe!!! Thank you Hanes!!

My Random thoughts of the Day

Today's post is about all the random thoughts I have going on in my head right now. Please don't judge!

I need to pack, to go back to NC tomorrow.
*Good thing I never un-packed from this past weekend

I still need an Easter dress.
*Lucky me the Loft is having a 40% off sale for everything in their store right now!

Brian needs to go to Walmart to get bullets for his new gun and then go 1/2 way across town to Dicks to get a case for it.
*Why can't he just get the dang bullets at Dick's?

I really like this Sally Hansen Xtreme wear "Coral Reef" nail polish I'm wearing.
*It makes my hands look more tan.

Marley Lilly has a new monogrammed mason jar with a lid and straw that I think will be perfect for summer time!
*Maybe that can be a birthday present?

I would love some fried rice.
*Maybe in another life, I was Japan.

Why is it almost April and its sooooooooooo cold outside?
*Don't I live in FL?

What comes on t.v. tonight?
*Oh yea!!! Its Duck Dynasty night!!!!!!

This calls for celebration....
*I might make a cake! Rainbow Chip icing, fun fetti cake to be exact!

How cute are these mason jar mugs?! I have to have one!

BB Cream

No matter if I’m flipping through a magazine, walking down a make-up isle, or reading other blogs, all I keep seeing is BB Cream! All the while, I’m asking myself what the heck it is?! I was very curious to see what all the hype was about. I read different articles and reviews on many different brands BB Cream product. I have heard that some are better than others and some make your face feel oily, things like that.

When I was home over the weekend, I saw that my Mother-in-law was using Garnier’s BB Cream so I was eager to try it! Y’all it was awesome! She told me that she choose Garnier’s because she heard very good reviews and they offer a “combination to oily skin” cream. I have never had very oily skin but it’s not dry either, so I thought this would be perfect for me. After I tried it, I was hooked!

I naturally have a little rosacea in my cheeks, so I don’t like to go out anywhere without just a little bit of foundation or concealer on. This BB Cream covers any blemishes you may have and evens out your skin tone without feeling like you have a ton of make-up on. It basically works as a tinted moisturizer and sunscreen. Perfect for the beach or a pool day or just to run to the grocery store! I haven’t tried other brands, so I don’t know how they work but I strongly recommend you get this Garnier BB Cream! It’s Amazing!

I can not believe I am showing y'all this but I really want you to see how awesome it is! On the Left I have NO make-up on, and on the right is ONLY the BB Cream! Miracle in a bottle!

Let me know if you have any other questions about it!

Weekend in NC

Well we are back to Monday. I have had so much fun being home for a long weekend but I sure am exhausted! When we left Gastonia yesterday it was about 40 degrees. When we got back to Jacksonville it was 82! I have to say, as much as I miss home, I don’t miss the cold.

I feel like we did so much this weekend. Friday I went to lunch with an old friend that I haven’t seen in so long! It was so good to catch up and see her beautiful face! After that I went to get pedicures with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law! I loved spending some girl time and lots of laughs with them!

Saturday, my dad made us a huge breakfast which is my favorite! He makes the best scrambled eggs in America! After that we met Brian’s family for BBQ and got to see his uncle that lives in Miami that we haven’t seen in about 3 years. By the way, I feel like all we did was eat this entire weekend! But I am proud to say that I have lost 8 pounds!!

I got my hair done thanks to the AMAZINGLY talented Andrea Winslow! If you are in the Charlotte area, you need to call RE Salon and Med Spa and book your appointment with her! I promise she is like a hair angel!

That night we went to a Bobcats game with my parents and got to sit court side! Brian was over the moon! He even got to touch the game ball! Afterwards we went out for drinks with friends and Sunday we packed up and headed back to FL so that we could watch some of the bball tournament. Whew…even typing all of this makes me feel exhausted. And guess what? We are right back at it Thursday. This whole driving back and forth is getting really old!

On the Road Again

Happy Hump day and first day of Spring!! After 10 days straight of work, I am finally getting some time off! Brian and I will be on the way home in T-3 hours! I have been so excited all day! Although a 6 hour drive does not sound like fun, sometimes I find it so peaceful to spend that time with just my Bunkey and Daisy and no distractions.

Anywho, I spent my lunch break in Old Navy and they seriously have the cutest stuff right now! I got 3 shirts for $40.00! And if you are still looking for an Easter dress, they have some adorable ones!!

All day, I have been listening to Eric Church and Luke Bryan! Somehow those two make me feel more at home. I guess its the lyrics of their songs and you wouldn't really understand unless you grew up in a small town and appreciated the small things it has to offer. But with that said, I will leave you with this:

Eric Church: Oh Carolina, ya keep callin me home....

I can not wait to see this sign!!!!

Sandals

Around this time of year, I get so excited to start wearing flip-flops, sandals, wedges, etc. This means just one more reason to HAVE to get a pedicure! Right? Or is that just me?!

I have been finding that I am really into cage sandals this spring! They make such a statement and can be dressed up or down! I am also loving COLOR! My entire wardrobe is all about Corals, turquoise, yellows, and bright pink! These are some of my favorite sandals right now!

By the way, these terquoise Zara heels at the bottom, have to be mine! I'm obbsessed!!

Weekend Recap

Hello my lovelies! It’s been a couple of days since I have blogged.  I hope that you had a better weekend than I did. I had to work and it was no fun! While everyone else was at the beach because of the 80 degrees weather and sunshine, I was stuck inside. Not to mention it was St. Patty’s day and y’all know I married an Irish man! And on top of that, My Tar Heels were playing in the ACC tournament and I didn’t get to watch it! But just so you know how dedicated I am, I had the scoreboard pulled up on ESPN and literally watched the time clock and the score change for 2 hours without being able to see any action! Talk about nail biting! Which btw I need to stop doing!
Any way, since it was St. Patty's day yesterday and I didn’t get to do anything fun, Brian surprised me and took me out on a date! I know, he is the sweetest!! We went to cheesecake factory and shared Chicken tenders, mac and cheese and sweet potato fries like we were little kids! And to top it off we got double chocolate Oreo cheesecake to go. Yes we are fat kids for life. Not really, we are trying to get back in shape and eat better, but we figured it was the Lords day and I deserved it! At least we shared right? Ok I am going to the gym tonight, I feel bad about it!

After that we made a stop for some Guinness and Stella’s. I mean it is Brian’s favorite holiday and he is Irish. We finished the day on the couch in our pajams with a little reality t.v., and by that I mean, The Real Housewives of Atlanta, The Kardashians, and Duck Dynasty. Don’t judge me…..yes I love all 3 of these shows. I feel like each one has a little bit of my personality! Is there a such thing as a ghetto, fashion forward, redneck? I like to think so!

P.S. I am coming home Wednesday night till Sunday and I am over the moon excited!!!

And the Bachelorette is...

So I will admit that I have not watched the Bachelor/Bachelorette since the very first season. I know, I know, shouldn't I have my lady card revoked or something? I just lost interest and couldn't get back into it.

Insert Sean Lowe. HELLO ladies! That man is so handsome, has great morals, and he's a southern boy! I mean talk about perfect! I seriously could go on and on. And no worries about my hubby, because he has sat by my side every Monday just as enthralled in the show as me! He is probably not going to be too happy that I'm telling you this, but he knows it's true!

As this season went on, I became in love with Desiree. She was just the sweetest thing ever! I cheered for her all the way through, till Sean sent her home. I swore after that, I would not finish watching the season because he didn't pick her. But really how could I have spent so much of my time watching and not finish? Come on Jess!

So when they announced that Des is the new bachelorette I was jumping for joy! You see, that's how they get you. You start watching because you like who they chose to be the bachelor/bachelorette. Then you fall in love with one of the contestants, then that contestant gets the boot but then comes back to be the next person and then on their season you fall in love with someone else and so on and so on! Geeze! But you can bet I will be watching this Beautiful girl with such a big heart and rooting for her all the way! Go Desiree!!!

Just a little Eye Candy for you ladies!! Your Welcome!

Red Pineapple

Happy Monday (if there is a such thing)! I hope you had a fabulous weekend!

Friday night Brian and I went out to a couple of local beach bars with his co-workers for drinks! We had a great time and I even ran into a girl who just started her own business making Jewelry. Her stuff is really unique and very affordable! You should check her out on Facebook. Her business is called "Bangle Jangle." She has a website also: www.banglejangle.com

Saturday we spent the day in St. Augustine going into different shops and pubs! There was a Celtic festival going on, so there were some interesting people walking around, to say the least. While walking down St. George street I stumbled upon a new boutique that has just recently opened. It's called the "Red Pineapple." Seriously Brian could not drag me out of there. From the moment I walked in, I was in love. Everything from their accessories to the clothing to the home decor! I wanted to buy every pair of earings they sold. You should go to their Facebook page and "like" them!

TGIF!

We made it!

Another week gone, time for some adventure! The one thing about living in Florida, for the moment, is all of the amazing hide aways! There is so much to see and so many beautiful places to visit. One of our favorite places to go is St. Augustine, FL. It's only about 45 minutes from where we live but being there makes you feel like you are in an entirely different place.

St. Augustine is one of the oldest cities in America. There is so much history in this little town. But the best part is the shopping and food! St. George street is where it's at! The coolest and most unique little handmade jewelry shops, art gallery's, vintage boutiques, and chocolate factories. Not to mention the countless pubs and little hole in the wall restaurants. You can take haunted ghost tours at night, visit the light house, or check out the Alligator Farm! St. Augustine has really been a little weekend get away for Brian and I and we can't wait to go and explore tomorrow! I will be sure to take lots of photos of our sweet treats, nik naks, and pub adventures to share with you!
