The Perfect Shoe for your Holiday Party

My name is Jessica and I am addicted to shoes.

But for real, I am, and I love a great party shoe! As the Holidays are upon us, why not have that perfect shoe to match that perfect outfit you spent all day in Nordstroms trying to find?! Can you tell I love anything with a strap, sparkle, or bow?! Oh the heavens sung to me when I saw these Red strappy, sparkly, absolutely gorgeous, Aldo shoes!! They are part of their holiday collection and they are seriously amazing and they are on sale and I could go on and on but I wont!

The top right shoe, is Kate Spade and I think they are so elegant and just the right heel if you plan on dancing or being on your feet all night! Plus the Gold bow doesn't hurt!

These Sam & Libby heels from Target are budget friendly plus have a little naughty side to them! I love the added spikes to the back of the heel! And who doesn't look good in a pointy toe?! Elongate those legs women!

And last but not least, this cute little red number from Asos would be adorable with any black dress and some black tights! Oh my gosh, how stinking cute?! Or if you wanted to even dress up a boyfriend jean with these babies and a cable knit sweater! More bang for your buck!

Well that's it for me today, but if you would like to find any of these beautiful shoes you can go here to Aldo, here to Kate Spade, here to target, and here to Asos.

My Christmas List

I'm so excited for Christmas, I can hardly stand it!!! I can't wait for Sunday, when B and I finally have a day off together and we can go pick out our Christmas tree!! He keeps asking me what I want for Christmas so I made him a list the other night and these were a few things on my list!

I know, pajams is kinda boring, but its just that thing that you never want to buy yourself but you would like having. At least it is for me. I would much rather spend my own money on something like shoes and make-up rather than sleepwear. So this year these adorable pajam Set's from target are on my list!

Next up are these amaze balls booties that Toms makes and you can find them at Nordstrom! I think they are so perfect for night or day! Put them on with skinny jeans, a sweater and beanie, and I would say you will be looking adorable! But then you can dress them up, even wear them with a cute dress and tights for night time and talk about the comfort your feet will feel!! I love them!!

Ok and lets talk about the freaking amazing, too cute for words, Kate Spade Wallet!!! First of all, its Kate Spade, second of all there is a bow, and third of all, ITS PINK!! I don't even have to say anything else.

And lastly I am obsessed with a red lip right now!! Not to mention its so perfect for this season but talk about a confidence boost! You can NOT put on red lipstick and not feel like a million bucks! So this YSL kit is a perfect Holiday gift set! They just came out with this new product called, "Rouge Purr Couture." Literally its the best thing I have ever used! Its a lip stain, with the comfort of a lip stick with the appearance of a lip gloss! No joke I am in love with it!!!!!! And you not only get that but also as mascara and nail polish!! LOVE!

I want to know what's on your list for Christmas!!

You can find these products here, here, here, and here!

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!

Where have I been lately?!! Oh yea, trying to figure out life. We are back in North Carolina for good (Praise God) and trying to find a house and a job is not the easiest thing in the world! The whole house thing, well it's just one disappointment after another. But I'm not stressing about it any more. When we find the right one, it will all work out just like it's supposed to! As for the job thing, well that is NOT a disappointment!! As of yesterday I am now working at Sephora, which I'm just totally obsessed with and over the moon excited about!! What girl doesn't want to go there everyday and talk to other girls about their favorite products right?!!?!

And as for the blog, I have been missing it so much lately. I told my husband this week that I really wanted to get back into it. So here I am, ready to really jump back in and give it all I've got! Plus with Christmas around the corner, I have so many things I want to share and talk about!

I don't know if I'm the only Christmas freak out there, but I have been listening to Christmas songs on my Pandora in my car since before Halloween! And did you know that the Hallmark channel plays 24 hours/7 days a week, Christmas  movies!?! I don't feel like I have left my couch!! Well except for when I went to Nordstrom last week and got these beautiful babies on sale!
Brian says I cant have them till Christmas day but I think he is sadly mistaken. How perfect are these for all the Christmas party's and Holiday activities coming up?!

Life as I know it

Hey Friends! Y'all Probably think I fell off the face of the earth but I promise Im still here! I haven't done a blog post in almost 2 months!! Between school and life, I just really havent had time. But I do want to start doing them regularly again and I promise to make more of an effort.

So you want to know what's been going on with me?!?! Well....As you all know, Brian and I have been wanting to move home basically since the day we moved to Florida. To say that I am an inpatient  person, might be an understatement, but its true. For almost 2 years I have prayed and begged God to open the doors for us to be able to move back to North Carolina, but it never happened. So about 3 months ago, I decided that I was going to embrace Jacksonville and start school here and try to feel "settled." I said, "God, I am putting this all in your hands. I am not going to worry anymore and I am giving this all to you. You know what is best for us more than I do and when your timing is right, we will move home."

Fast Forward a couple of weeks, Brian was looking at jobs online IN JACKSONVILLE and came across a company that had offices here, and in Charlotte. The job that he was looking for just happen to be open in the Charlotte location. He jokingly applied for it, not ever thinking anything would come of it and now we are MOVING HOME!!!!!!! Literally everything has just fallen into place so easily that this could not have happened without faith! God has answered our prayers plus some and we are soooooo grateful and beyond blessed! Its so true that when you stop worrying and just give it to God, he will answer your prayers!

Okay, now you want to know why I can't WAIT to get to NC?!!

We put an offer down on this house!!!!!!!! But its in short sale which means we have to wait and be veryyyyyyy pateint (which again I'm not so great at). But if it goes through we should be in there by December!!

Oh and did I mention the fall!! We can not wait to feel cool air and see the leaves change and go to Boone for some App State football!!! The Fair and pumpkin patches and NASCAR and everything that goes along with this season!! Do you think I'm excited?!?

So in T-3 days we will be heading home to North Carolina for good! And that's life as I know it, for right now!

New ULTA Finds

I have really been wanting a cleanser for make-up brushes for along time now. It seems like almost every other day I see another blog post on different ones that people like or home aid cleansers that work well. With me starting school and not working, our budget has been basically cut in half so I knew that I couldn't spend alot of money on one at like MAC or something like that. So I either needed to make a home aid remedy or find a cleanser for cheep!

This brings me to ULTA. I was bored sitting at home last week and decided I could spend my time wisely wandering around ULTA. While I was there I decided it would be a good idea to ask someone who worked there about different cleansers for make-up brushes. The guy told me that he actually liked the ULTA brand best and that it was only $10!! I was sceptical thinking that of course he is going to tell me that he likes their brand best, but at $10 I figured I would give it a try. Y'all I LOVE it!! You have no idea how bad my brushes were. They needed to be cleaned a loooooonnnnnggggg time ago and to see how clean they are and how easy all that build up came off was amazing!! I highly recommend this cleanser!

While I was in their I also found the the super blender sponge! The same EXACT one that Sephora sells for over $20 and it was only $3.99! I about died!! If you don't know about this sponge, it is supposed to blend your make-up like no other. Alot of people stopped using brushes because they like the sponge better. I have also read that you can even put a little water on it to give an even smoother finish, however I do think it looks great by using water, but it thins the foundation so you end up using more. It will just make you go through your foundation faster. After trying it, I really like the sponge. I think it does its job by making it very easy to get around the creases of your nose and blending everything together amazingly! So if you want to get it, go to ULTA! You will save so much money on the exact same product!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Celeb Gossip

Okay so y'all know I love some celebrity gossip! I look at people.com at least 4 times a day and watch way too much reality t.v and E! News. So I feel the need to share with y'all some of my opinions and feelings on what's been going on lately.

Obviously lets start with Kimye. Weird that it comes out like 3 days before Kim gives birth to North (ill touch on that in a sec) that Kanye has been cheating on her!?! I didn't really believe it till I watched the Wendy Williams show and she convinced me that it's true! And I don't know why, but some small part of me felt so bad for her! Then they pooped out this child and named her North. Now this just pissed me off. How in Gods name could you do that to your child?! I think Nori is cute if that's what they are goin to call her but that doesn't make up for the fact that her real name is North. Then Kanye comes out with his new record called Yezus. Baby you ain't Jesus so stop thinking that you are this greater power. You have never walked on water or turned water into wine so until that happens you need to check yo self!
Train wreck that I can't stop watching.

Now on to one of my favorite southern women this side of the Mason Dixon, Paula Deen. Can y'all believe food network canceled her show?!! As an avid food network watcher, I feel as if they are making a huge mistake! Who doesn't want to invite Paula into their home night after night to show them how cooking with butter is the right and only way to go! I know I sure do! She is a woman after my own heart. That southern drawl, big hair, obnoxious laugh, and fried everything! She is such a staple in the food industry and I don't see how this could benefit food network In any way.

And lastly we have to discuss the bachelorette. Poor Des, these men are either snakes, crazy, or weirdly sensitive. The only one I really like is Brooks. I think they are Presh together! Last night I thought we were sitting in on a court case watching Michael prosecute Ben! It was awkward even for me so I can't imagine how Des felt! Don't get me wrong I think Michael was doing the right thing but good gosh! All I'm saying is if I need a lawyer, I'm calling him!

P.S. Today was amazing!! I had so much fun at school and I know that I'm doing the right thing!

I'm still alive!

Hey strangers! I have been so sad the past week not being able to post anything! Our computer stopped working and I don't work anymore (hallelujah) so I haven't had access to do a post! Then a light bulb just went off in my head, and I thought I bet there is an app for blogger and guess what?! There is!

So recap on what's been going on. We moved into our beautiful new apartment last week and we couldn't be happier! B and I feel like we live at a resort and are on permanent vacation! Speaking of vacation, today is my last day of it! I start school tomorrow and to say that I am excited is an understatement!!! My mom and sister are here in FL for the week visiting us and I think it's so cool that my mom will be here for my first day of school like I'm still in high school or something! She may even pack my lunch for me tomorrow! How special?!?!

Anywho I have lots of stuff that I want to do posts on but this is all for now. Here are some insta pics!
In love with my new kitchen! Holy smokes there is so much counter and cabinet space!!

Cucumber jalapeño margs! Yummy!!

View from our balcony

Got my hur did!!

Please excuse me while I vent...

I love my husband,
I love my husband,
I love my husband.
At least that's what I keep telling myself.

So we are moving tomorrow and I am the only one who has packed anything. All 20 boxes that are sitting in the middle of our living room, yep all me. I get that he is painting our furniture, but really how long does that take.

Let me rewind.

We decided to re-do our furniture instead of by a new suit. We choose to use the Annie Sloan chalk paint, which I heard so many good things about. My mom was raving at how spectacular it is. You don't have to sand or prime anything, just literally paint it on. So I found a little specialty paint store at the beach that sells it and bought a pint of paint for $35. Sooooo expensive. Little did I know that you had to buy the wax paint that goes on top. So that was another $26. But how in the hell do you put the wax on?
So back to why I love my husband so much. This past Saturday I had to work and B promised that he would pack boxes and get the furniture painted. I was already annoyed because we couldn't decide if we wanted to rent a U-Hal or not. He hadn't asked any of our friends to help us move and I have to work on our move-in date. So he prooommiisseedd that he would get so much done! When I got home at 5 that afternoon the only thing that was done was ONE, ONE dresser painted. No boxes packed and nothing else done. Side note: He is a perfectionist so I understand that it takes him longer to do things but good gosh all mighty, I could have painted our entire house in that time.
Now back to my love for Annie Sloan chalk paint. So last night we went to hobby lobby and found really cute knobs for the drawers and we went home so that we could start the wax process even though we really don't have time for that ish and needed to pack boxes. Upon opening the can we realize that its really wax. Like you can turn it upside down and nothing falls out. And the directions say to use a cloth or soft brush to apply. So we start off with a cloth and it starts leaving little fibers all over the dresser. Not going to work. So I call my mom thinking that she is the expert on this stuff, since she is  the one who recommended we use this, and she goes on to tell me that she has never really used it herself, only heard good things about it. Oh and that she hasn't bought it because of how expensive it is! WHAT?!?! Insert rage all over my face and steam coming out of my ears. So long story short, we just get out a new paint brush and slapped that wax on. This morning at work, I watched a Youtube video on how to actually apply the wax and we did not do it the right way. And you know what, I don't care. And if our computer worked I could have watched that video last night, but noooo it decided to crash on us and the speakers on my cell phone don't work.

Now to finish up and let you know how the rest of my night turned out, I didn't sleep. I was up all night tossing and turning until Brian finally went to the couch because he was about to murder me. I kept having night mares of this stupid chalk paint and our dressers not being finished. In my sleep my arms and legs were part of the dresser and they were not painted and I just kept trying to paint them. So from 4a.m. till 8a.m. this morning, I laid there wide awake....ticked off!

And this is how I'm getting through this day:

Whew! Thank you for letting me vent. It feels good to get this all off my chest!!!

The most random post ever

Y'all I sure hope Noah comes and saves me with his big ark before I drown in this flood! Little miss Andrea, fancy pants, is not being too nice to us Floridians at the moment. To be exact, I sat in traffic for 40 minutes yesterday to go less than 5 miles, I haven't worn mascara in two days or fixed my hair, because frankly who wants to look pretty when its pouring outside?

Anywho, on to my life. So we move in exactly 1 week and I have 3 boxes packed. How terrible is that? Don't get me wrong, I cant wait to be in our new apartment but I'm just so over moving. We did it 3 times in the past year and it just sucks. There is no other word for it. Please don't think we are wierdys and just move a lot, they were all because we had to. Getting married, moving to Fl, then transferring to a 2 bedroom. But Point Blank, I have so much work to do! And don't let me forget about our bedroom suit that we are re-doing. We still have that to paint also! I cant wait to do a post on before and after pictures! The one piece we have done, looks awesome!

I saw on twitter today that MTV will be re-airing Laguna Beach and The Hills this summer!! Best News ever!!!

I told y'all this is random. But you know when you find a new song that you love so much and you cant stop playing it?! That's how I feel about Florida Georgia Line's song called "Round Here." Amazeballs! Hands down best song for summer! If you haven't heard it, go listen to it right now! On repeat.

So last night was the CMT Music Awards and I have to say that Taylor Swift is really stepping her game up! She has been dressing a little more sexy and really giving great performances. I'm no huge fan but I'm starting to like her a little more! Work it sister!

And I'm done. Totally Random.

Favorite Drug Store Products that I use Daily

Hello my little Blog world! I feel like I haven't done a post in forever!! Life is really getting in the way of my blogging. But I decided to do a post on my favorite products that you can get at a drug store, Target, Walmart, etc. I use these products everyday as part of my make-up routine and when cleaning my face. Of course I splurge on some beauty products and I do shop at Sephora and Ulta, but hey, when your ballin on a budget, you get what you can get.

So as I have told you guys before, I have been cleaning my face with the same products since I was in 9th grade. But it is the only thing that doesn't break my face out. I could not live without my Olay wipes and moisturizer.

Olay Wipes-I use the sensitive wipes just because my face has a little bit of rosacea and I feel like I need it. I use these everyday after I take a shower just to get any left over make-up off and because they are cold and feel so good right after a hot shower.

Olay moisturizer- is my life. Seriously I don't know how I would live without it. I have used it everyday for like 8 years and I cant find anything that I love more. It's not oily or smelly and it has a sunscreen in it.

Neutrogena Toner- I just bought this toner a couple of weeks ago at Target and I really love it. I use it after my wipes but before moisturizing. I was scared to use it because some toners can be harsh to your face and make your skin burn but this one does not. It really leaves this my skin feeling cool and soft.

BB Cream- I did an entire post about this so you already know that I love it! If not you can find it here. I have been off work the past 3 days and I have had tons of errands to run but I didn't feel like putting on make-up, so I used my BB cream. It makes such a big difference without feeling like you have a face full of make-up on.

Cover Girl "Brick Rose" Blush- This blush is probably my favorite make-up product ever. I have used it for years and I just can't find a better color that fits my skin tone. Its almost the color you would get if you mixed a bronzer together with a coral colored blush. If you have olive skin, this is the blush for you!

Loreal True Match Powder- I use a brush to put this all over my face. It gives a flawless look to my skin and blends everything together so well. The color I use is W5 but as the summer continues I'm going to have to get something a little darker.

My 1st BIRCHBOX

Hello lovelies!! We are so close to the weekend, just one more day!

I am so glad to announce that I finally received my first birchbox! I have been waiting on pins and needles for this little brown box to arrive at my door! That was until I watched Ashley from AshAnnPow do a Vlog on her IPSY bag! Geeze how did I not know about this?! You get a make-up bag plus full size products!  Needless to say, I am going to sign up for that one too! But I did really enjoy my products from BIRCHBOX.

My favorite product that I got was the Beauty Protector Detangle spray. It smells incredible and really does a great job. I used it last night after I took a shower and my hair has never felt so good. I could comb straight through it with no resistance and it didn't leave my hair feeling oily or looking greasy once it dried. It retails for $21.95 for a full size bottle

My 2nd favorite item that I received is the Joie perfume. I really love wearing perfume but I don't like it to hit someone in the face when I walk up. I'm really into floral, sensual smells, like Marc Jacob's Daisy perfume or I even like Jessica Simpson's Fancy Love. But this Joie has scents of mandarin and rose and really is a great scent. It retails for $98 for a full size bottle which I happen to think is a little expensive but if you can afford it, then I think it's worth it!

I got a couple of other products like some eye liner which is awesome and stays on all day. And also a Sunscreen which I haven't used yet but is apparently organic and very good for your face! I think I'll try it out for Memorial day!

What Im pinning and getting real

Today is such a nasty day here in the sunshine state. When I say nasty, I mean GROSS. Like I have soaking wet pants legs and super cold feet and nasty damp hair. It's bad. But that's not what today's post is about. I wanted to do a post about what I have been pinning lately and why. I don't get on Pinterest near as much as I use to but the Bunks are trying to do a few home improvement projects and I needed to get inspired.

As you all know by now we are moving to a much nicer apartment and with that comes more money for rent each month. So to save some money, we are re-doing our bedroom furniture instead of buying a new suit. We are using Brian's furniture he has had for 20 years. Its very nice but needs to be wayyyyyyyyyyy updated! We are sanding it and then going to paint it a fun color. That's the hardest part however, because I cant figure out what color to do! I found this picture on pinterest and I really love the color scheme for this entire room! I really want to try and figure out how I can work this into our furniture.

Next up is my lifestyle change. I do, and forever will, eat like a little kid. My favorite food is chicken fingers with fries and ranch and I have NEVER been to a restaurant and not ordered this. Yes I'm telling you the truth. However, now that I am getting older it has really started to affect me. I have put on so much weight, I feel so tired all the time, and I think I might die. Seriously though, I'm serious. Maybe not now, or in 5 years but I will. You see all of my family has high blood pressure and my paw-paw died after his 5th heart attack when he was only 57. So what I'm saying is, that I need to lock it up! I have put my foot down and I WILL make a lifestyle change. I WILL start eating my veggies and I WILL start exercising.

Y'all sometimes I feel like I need to wear my bra backwards. No joke.

I LOVE a simple classy outfit with a pop of color on the shoe! I am so into this right now. I think it makes such a great statement without being over the top. I have so many colored shoes that I can do this with!

Paradise- Light rum, Malibu, blue curacao, pineapple juice and grenadine..omg

Summer beer - 9 Coronas, 1 bottle of raspberry vodka, 1 can of raspberry limeade. Serve over ice Holy mother of yum

I need these in my life asap!

Life Update

I feel like I have been a little MIA lately. Between work and trying to figure out this cosmetology thing, I have no time left in the day. Oh and did I mention that we move in less than a month so we have to pack also. Yea, haven't even started that.

But I did go on my tour at Paul Mitchell and I absolutely fell in love! Seriously my jaws were hurting from smiling so much! And the best part, that's when I looked over and saw Brian smiling just as much as I was. When we got in the car, I asked him what he thought and he looked at me and said, "You are perfect for this and I am so happy for you. We will do whatever it takes for you to be able to go!" MELT MY HEART! So at this point, I am doing all of the paper work, writing my admission essay, getting letters of recommendation and figuring out FASFA (Financial Aid). I am almost positive that I will be starting at the end of June and going full time!!!!!!!!! That's right! I am going to be quitting my job so that I can go full time and get it done 6 months faster than I would if I were to go at night. This was all B's idea! To say that I love that man is beyond an understatement. So I will be quitting my job, moving, and starting cosmo school all in the same month........Holy Cow talk about change! But I'm so excited for it!

With so much going on, I felt like I needed a night to just think about everything and talk to B, so I surprised him at work on Tuesday with a picnic already packed and a change of clothes. We went to the beach with little miss Daisy and had the best time! I really don't know why we don't do this more often but we sure are going to start!

Fingers Crossed

Hello Friday!! I am so happy that I do not have to work this weekend and Brian and I are staying in FL, so no road trips, no anything, except Bunkey time!!

So onto my good news! I really think God has this amazing sense of humor and looks down and chuckles at his work sometimes! I have been wanting to right a post all week about me wanting to go to cosmetology school. It has been what I have wanted to do for as long as I can remember. In fact, I have paid the application fee of $100, three times now, gone through the financial aid part, and taken the tour of the schools, but for some reason it has never worked out. I have looked at Paul Mitchell, Aveda, and even our community college in North Carolina.

For everyone that does not know, Cosmetology school is VERY expensive. We are talking thousands of dollars. You could buy a nice car. I should have went to cosmo school right out of high school, but me being the smart teenager I was, I HAD to go to college like all of my friends. I would be making bank right now has I just done it! After about 1.5 year's of college, I decided that it wasn't for me and I would try cosmo school again. Okay, I will not bore you with all the details of all the times I applied but basically money has always been a huge factor in me not going.

With that said, it makes me mad. I feel like other people go to school all the time and major in things that they want to do without worrying about how much it cost. Other girls get through cosmo school that are probably in way worse off situations than I am, so why cant I do it?

So when we moved to Florida I researched the Paul Mitchell and Aveda schools down here. They actually were about $6000 less than in NC!!! My biggest thing is debt. I do not want to put me or my husband in debt, but I also know that I cant do what I want to do for the rest of my life without putting us in debt. So Brian and I talked about it and of course he wants me to be happy and cares about my future and thinks that it would be well invested debt!

I called Paul Mitchell earlier this week and have been waiting for them to get in touch with me. Finally today I got a call from Christie in their admissions office and I have an appointment for tomorrow!!! We are going to take a tour, go over the money and student loans, start dates, all of that! As long as its affordable and works out with my current job, I will hopefully be starting very soon!! So everyone say a little prayer for me and keep your fingers crossed that everything will fall into place!!

On a side note: Last night my company had their annual awards banquet, so my little nugget heads that I love so dearly, and I, got all dressed up and went down town to the old Florida theatre! Here are a few pics!

Have to throw a selfie in there

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Met Gala Review

Hello Baby Angels! Todays post is all about the fashion from the Met Gala last night. Every year I look forward to seeing what all of the top A-list stars are going to show up wearing. This year was all about edgy, punk, studded rocker, over the top make-up, kind of fashion. I guess I get it, that's in style, but I didn't like it for the Met Gala. But that was their theme and they didn't ask me! The make-up looked like something out of a scary movie and it didn't feel elegant enough. Madonna looked homely, Nicole Richie died her hair grey silver, and Jennifer Goodwin looked like she had 2 black eyes. Oh wait she did and it was terrible!

But let me give a shout out to my girl JLO, not only because we have the same initials, but because she rocked it! Like straight up, KILLED IT! Dang girl, you look fine!

Her are some of my favorites:

And Then I don't even know what this is: Bad, no good, terrible, What were you thinking?

I like this dress but ummm, who told you to dye your hair. They are not your friend.

And I love this dress, but why did you choose that eye make-up? Ruined it!
